Michael Harrison

Biography

Michael has always loved to paint. His father, who taught art throughout his working career, encouraged him. Michael studied painting in England and followed his father's example as an art teacher. He soon moved into the business world where he pursued a successful career as a marketing executive. He never stopped painting. When his company moved Michael to their southern Californian head office, his painting really took off. Michael recalls his first impressions of California. "

Leaving the often gray skies of England for the brilliant colors and fantastic shadows created by the warm, natural light of southern California, took my breath away." His paintings capture the essence of the subject matter with vitality and richness that comes from bold images and attention to detail that brings all of his work to life.
