John Douglas
Biography
Born in the heartland of Kansas, John Douglas grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended California College of Arts and Crafts, Arizona State University and Los Angeles State College in California; extensive world travel has further honed his artistic education. He will go literally to the ends of the earth in his search for artistic inspiration.
A feeling of classic harmony is the foremost characteristic of his work. Douglas may include intricate detail, iconography, or images evoking antiquity, but each piece as a whole reflects the fundamental balance of classical proportions.
Douglas also enjoys the performing arts and building things by hand.
