Marianne Dunn

Biography

Marianne Dunn works with oils, acrylics, watercolor and pastel. Her unique style of color and design simplifies natural forms into bold, almost abstract shapes and patterns. Dunn favors landscapes and gardens. She is happiest when painting out- of- doors.

Originally from Florida, the artist studied at Parsons School of Design in New York before receiving her fine arts degree from Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, She currently lectures and leads workshops at the Wesleyan Center for the Arts.

Marianne frequently travels to Europe and Asia, to visit museums, sketch, paint and gather inspiration for her future work.

Her work hangs in numerous public and private collections including Coca Cola Corporation, Invesco, Emory University, Mercer University, Norell Corpporation and Northwest Memorial Hospital.
