Marta Castells

Biography

Marta Castells was born in Barcelona in 1969. After studying and working in computer sciences, she realized painting was her true vocation and in 1992 began her studies in the fine arts.

Castells has exhibited widely in Spain and Portugal. As well as teaching painting and drawing, she also works in textile design and illustration.

Her work is abstract with references to figurative, landscape and still life subject matter
