Biography
Maura Kendrick combines the simplicity of black and white photography with the complexity and layers of paint in her mixed media work. Using serigraph techniques, Maura is able to incorporate photographs into each piece. She works primarily on wood, layering and sanding images to add depth and interest. Each piece is finished with resin or wax to add even greater depth. Maura grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and earned her B.A. in Classical Studies from Stanford University. She now lives in Seattle.
