Biography
Darlene Shiels completed her degree in Fine Arts at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and for the past twenty years has divided her time between studio practice and freelance contracts in film and television. Primarily focused on painting, her interest in photography is a recent development. Several years ago, she noticed that simple snapshots of still lifes she was preparing for painting held an interest all their own and began to pursue her black & white photography floral studies. Darlene currently resides with her family on the eastern shores of Nova Scotia, Canada.
