Biography
Classically trained as a fine artist, Bruce Marion has enjoyed a productive and recognized career as a painter and illustrator with his work showcased in international publications and honored in juried shows. He graduated with a BFA from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena where he studied under Lorser Feitelson, the father of Post-Surrealism. He taught at the Otis Parsons Institute of Art before beginning a corporate career as an art director, and eventually opening his own design firm. During this time, Marion continued to paint and exhibit his work at venues throughout the west becoming known for his satirical, often humorous portrayals of life’s ironies.
In more recent years, his personal exploration of the deeper issues of man’s existence has been reflected on his canvas, pulling his work away from the more literal, and into the abstract realm.
