Biography
Maran currently lives with her family in a beach cottage on the coast. Many of her family members are artists, so her design sense comes quite naturally. Maran received her degree from the Interior Designers Guild in Seattle, WA. Although her formal training is in interior design, she stared painting on fabric 20 years ago and found in it something she loves. Her passion is color. “To me color is energy, it is a language that everyone can understand and enjoy.” She also loves to travel and is influenced by the many people and places she has encountered. Maran’s designs have been sold in numerous stores across the country and have graced homes all over the US and abroad. Maran is best known for her handpainted pillows, which have been highlighted in national magazines such as Vogue and Country Home and numerous trade magazines. Maran’s design background gives her a “room setting” perspective, which helps her work to be both artistic and decorative, and to add color and inspiration within corporate and intimate settings.
