Biography
Marcel DYF was born in Paris on 7th October 1899. Very early on, he showed great talent and passion for drawing and painting. In 1922 he moved to Provence, firstly Arles, then St Paul de Vence, before returning in 1959 to the Paris region at Bois d'Arcy where he worked until his death on 15th September 1985. In 1955 he started to work with the Frost and Reed gallery in London which still exhibits his work. Flowers, women, gypsies, Provençal and Breton landscapes have inspired the finest work by this master of impressionism
