Biography
K Kostolny is an abstract artist whose emphasis is on texture and dramatic composition. Working from his Manhattan studio Kostolny frequently incorporates rough pieces of fabric or metallic strips into his work to create added depth and interest. His paintings are often divided into panels of broad texture and his palette varies from warm, earthy colours to cool calm tones. Kostolny’s abstracts are both powerful and challenging and designed to make a dramatic statement on the wall.
