Biography
Born and raised in Southern California in 1964, this artist's first inspiration came from her love of horses which she taught herself to draw during childhood. By the time Karen graduated high school, she was specializing in painting portraits, sports athletes in action, cats, birds, and endangered species. Now, with thirty years experience, she has expanded her subject matter to include landscapes, figurative and contemporary abstracts. "If I ever felt that I've 'arrived' as an artist, I would sorely be mistaken. I always try to never stop learning and never stop growing." Karen constantly pushes the envelope when it comes to the color palette, techniques and styles she uses. Her paintings demonstrate her ability to transcend traditional boundaries and to continually challenge herself to find new and exciting avenues of expression
