Christina Mitchell

Biography

After graduating with a BA (Hons) Degree in Textiles/Fashion from the Central School of Art Design (university of the Arts, London), Christina practiced as a textile designer for the printed fashion industry and lectured in design and printed textiles as Carlisle College of Art & Design. Her background in textile design has also been influential in her career as a costume designer for film and television.

Paintings and illustrations range from traditional gouache and pastels to digital reflecting a broad portfolio of landscapes, decorative and figurative work. She has a particular interest in global cultures.
