Biography

Judi Bagnato grew up knowing that creativity nourishes the soul and her paintings reflect her admiration for the beauty and harmony inherent in nature. As the artist explains, “I’ve always loved Cezanne’s definition of art –“a reproduction of nature as seen through the eyes of the soul”—that is what I try to portray in my images”.

Bagnato finds a quiet balance between expressive organic forms and abstraction. Opaque and translucent pigments, combined with intricate textures, collage elements and expressive brushwork create a timeless yet contemporary look.
