Biography
Amy Reed Trebella is a freelance photographer currently living on the outskirts of Salt Lake City. Her passion is landscape, experimental, and alternative process photography. Amy's affinity toward the arts began with her interest in theater and independent motion picture film, and has recently evolved into making still photography a full-time career. In 2006, Amy received her Bachelor's of Arts degree from Montana State University, Bozeman, MT in Media and Theater Arts and Photography. She subsequently supplemented her degree with an internship in Photojournalism at the Tooele Transcript Bulletin. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in Utah and Montana. Amy particularly enjoys being outdoors in virtually any capacity, while lugging her camera and equipment along for the journey. She is both a conceptual as well as visual artist who has a tendency to bring 'the outdoors in’, as is evidenced in her imagery which almost always maintains a certain organic sensibility.
“There's something about photography and capturing an image that allows me to put a space between myself and my thoughts. A stillness arises within me.”
