Max Kab

Biography

Growing up in the small town of Rimrock, Arizona, Max Kab soon grew tired of the homogenous colors of the desert. She yearned for the bright colors of the city. Shortly after moving to San Francisco, Kab began to more seriously explore her interest in art. After receiving her B.A. in Illustration from the San Francisco Art Institute, she began to pursue her professional career as an artist.

Kab’s interest in Eastern philosophies and her love of yoga influence her work, as she often incorporates spiritual, Zen-like elements into her collaged, mixed media compositions.
