Erin Berrett

Biography

Erin Berrett graduated with her BFA from the University of Utah in 1998, after attending an Art Education Study Abroad, as well as the Solstice and Equinox workshops in Helper, Utah. After several years of attempting to balance employment and painting, she left her job to pursue art full time. During this brave adventure, she painted nonstop for a year and a half. The paintings she produced during this time have caught the eye of galleries and investors alike.

Of her creative process, Erin writes, “the momentum of my creative process is surface. I strive to make ordinary images a pleasure to live with.” She is “seduced by the physicality of paint. I work merely to have the painting encompass a memorable surface.”
