Zelda

Biography

Zelda Minkist’s father was an amateur photographer and introduced her to the medium, encouraging her interest. She continued her studies in photography and art throughout her childhood and was awarded a scholarship to Savannah’s College of Art and Design.

While Minkist continued to explore photography, she discovered her attraction to color theory, design, and painting. Soon painting became her main interest, and she began to produce canvases of intense emotion with vibrant blocks of color and patterned forms. However, her camera lens still motivates her: "My work is inspired photographically, but I take it beyond ordinary representation to create a harmonious blend of texture with composition."
