Biography
Allan Stephenson hails originally from England and currently resides in the Pacific Northwest. He has been a professional artist and illustrator for over thirty years, and his work can be found in many collections both corporate and private. “As an artist choosing to do landscape, it comes naturally to create art as a kind of journal of the places I have been. It is also a process of remembering images and feelings, while on the move and then processing them in the studio into painting. Even through my work is representational as opposed to abstract; I feel that the images I create are not real in a photographic sense, but metaphorical or iconic. They are idealized places and shapes.”
