Biography
Klaus Dietrich was born in Munich and studied graphic design before moving to the Lebanon where he spent two years at the Academie des Beaux Arts in Beirut. He is a truly international artist and has travelled the world spending long periods in south Asia, the South Seas, the USA and Hawaii as well as many countries in Europe. This has deeply influenced his work and has been the main inspiration in his paintings which range from idyllic landscapes and coastal studies to vibrant city scenes. In every artwork Klaus Dietrich’s meticulous attention to detail and realistic style is clearly evident and he is fascinated by bright light and the way it shimmers and shines or casts shadows. His paintings are dramatic, eye-catching and created with real artistic flair.
