Photographer Dana Buckley presents sensual and unique floral imagery through a series of spectacular floral prints. A sense of intimacy is achieved in the photographs by Dana’s use of close-up photography. This technique creates a slightly abstract quality, revealing each flower’s simple beauty. The flowers are profiled in a way that brings a sense of romance and depth to each image. “My decision to photograph flowers was strongly influenced by a need to achieve a sense of intimacy in my work – and in my life perhaps. Previously, my point of view as a commercial photographer had always been that of an outsider, someone observing from a distance. My desire to establish a closer, more direct connection with individual objects photographed eventually led me to focus on flowers.”
