Steve Hepburn was born in 1970 in London, Ontario. He moved "out west" to British Columbia at an early age and has called it home ever since. Working from his home studio, Steve paints exclusively in oils and draws on John Singer Sargent as his greatest influence. His travels from Central America to South East Asia have had a considerable impact on his painting. Exploring interesting and exotic locations with his wife Lisa has been a source of joy and inspiration. "Colorful markets, architectural details and scenes of day to day life in unique places intrigue me and act as my reference. I enjoy painting timeless subjects which have changed little from the past." Steve is an accomplished illustrator, whose clients include, among others, Canada Post, VIA Rail and the Royal Canadian Mint.
