Glen is a self-taught artist who enjoys painting landscapes and wildlife but seems to be always drawn back to painting people, specifically sports personalities. These works are often called “Sportraits.” Glen has a true feel for his sports works in that he has participated in numerous sports in the past and continues to play hockey, baseball and golf. His knowledge of sports means that his paintings are always accurately rendered. He usually works with a loose wash background, which lends itself well to sports images. Glen’s subject matter has varied from Joe Montana to Wayne Gretzky to Bob Hope. Corporations such as the Vancouver Canucks, the B.C. Lions, the Canadian National Soccer Team and Coca-Cola have commissioned him.
