Dennis Kelly, a professional photographer since 1986, has worked independently throughout his career to advance his artistic development and promote its recognition and viability in the marketplace. Early in his career, he has taken instruction from well-known and respected artists such as Jack Breit and Barton Gilmore. The beaches and tropical flora of Florida’s West Coast are subjects frequently reflected in his photography. The intent of his artistry is to capture an isolated and serene moment, which in simplicity of form allows the viewer to reflect and bond with the image. During the 1990’s, he exhibited widely throughout Florida and won numerous awards. He also became well known for capturing the essence of competitive sailing in his photographs, many of which have appeared in national and international publications. His photography has taken him outside the United States to various countries worldwide.
