The Artist: Danielle Beck
…born in 1944, she lives and works in France. Savannah Animal art is one of the most difficult art forms. Danielle Beck manages to combine accurate brush strokes with modernity, offering the observer a tableau of magnificent African animals. Zebras, leopards and lions astound us with their majesty and realism. The sombre décor throws the animal into relief, letting it occupy the entire canvas and suggesting that by stretching out our hand, we could feel its breath. A superb approach to this art form, so often abused.
