John Seba was in born in Cordova, Argentina. He was an artistic child, and at 15 years old Seba begin a Fine Art Photography program at the School of Arts in Buenos Aires. His artistic passion was to photograph landscapes and the natural beauty of his native South America using black and white film. As a young man, Seba studied Ansel Adams and used his work as inspiration for his own photography. In the early Nineties Seba moved to Southern California. He brought a new sense of imagination and creativity to his work in this culturally diverse environment. He photographed many different kinds of subjects and developed a sharper eye for color and balance. Eventually, Seba began to experiment with manipulating his imagery and combining his photography with hand painted elements. These early experiments were the beginning of the journey that has led Seba to now create a series of striking mixed media collages. His colorful work has a layered effect that adds texture and sophistication to the imagery. This unique mixture of styles and techniques defines a new kind of contemporary vision for his art. Seba is still interested in natural beauty and he travels all over North America to find his inspiration. He continues to live and work in Southern California. But, each year Seba travels back to his native Argentina to exhibit his new images and reconnect with his past.
