Born in Lubbock, Texas, Greg Stocks has always shown interest in art and music. He moved to Utah to attend college and completed the Foundation Art program at the University of Utah in 1984 with instructors Ed Maryon and Sam Wilson. In 1986, he transferred to Utah State University to study illustration with Glen Edwards, Jon Anderson, Adrian Van Suchtelen, Harrison Groutage and Anton Rasmussen. He is represented by Coda Galleries in Palm Desert, CA and Park City, UT, Basalt Gallery in Basalt, CO and Marion Meyer Contemporary Art in Laguna Beach, CA. “My work is an effort to create images that serve as emotional detours from the noise and confusion of the surrounding world. I find the process of painting to be similar to that of writing a song. There is a basic structure or rhythm to the work. The melody comes into play in the form of color, brushwork, and the expressive possibilities of the process.”

"Trend-setting, Imaginative, Mod, Colourful." As a unique fine art print resource, Poems continues to embrace contemporary art and artists. Poems are passionate about art and work closely with the artists they publish always looking for something unique either in colour, subject matter or treatment. The concept of "Poems" originated from a philosophy that art is poetry for the eye and stirs feeling, just as words entice the ear. Every piece of art is produced by an artist with a measure of passion.
