The Artist: Cinzia Ryan

Cinzia Ryan is a curious and passionate student of life. She expresses this passion through many avenues - as an artist, an educator, an actor, and as an intuitive healer. She has a unique vision that is at once brilliant and intimate. There is a never-ending desire to find the spectacular, particular beauty of a person, a place, an object – our collective experience. Cinzia sees the genuine inner glow of everything – as if looking through a window at a special, brief moment – a treasure hidden within. Through lens, brush, word, hands, voice and spirit, there is to be discovered peace, passion, light, joy, silence, and beauty. Cinzia states, "When I am able to connect to the artist within me, I feel the true power we each possess. I photograph a flower and I feel as if I enter, through the lens, into a different world." The grateful recipient of several photographic scholarships, Cinzia studied at the Savannah College of Art Design, The University of North Florida, and The Rocky Mountain School of Photography. She spent ten years working in high-end commercial television in Chicago before returning to her love of art and Italy. Cinzia currently divides her time between Chicago and Positano, Italy.
